About Carla’s Athens Marathon for Glioblastoma Warriors

Carla is a devoted mother and a passionate runner—but she doesn’t run for herself. For the past ten years, she has been running for others through charity events. She has completed more than 30 charity runs across Indonesia, covering distances from short races to hundreds of kilometers. Her causes range from supporting children who have lost parental care, to helping build access to clean water, and to fundraising for cancer warriors.
Her running journey has been captured in her book “Run for Charity: Menemukan Diri dengan Berlari,” where she shares the stories, meaning, and transformation behind every mile.
After years of running for various missions in Indonesia, she feels called to help even more people. When the opportunity came to run the Athens Marathon in support of Glioblastoma Brain Cancer, she knew this was the next chapter in her purpose.
The Glioblastoma Research Organization is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and funds for glioblastoma, the most aggressive and prevalent type of brain cancer.
Carla doesn’t just run.
She carries hope for those who need it most.
Your generous donation will significantly support Carla in her run.
Thank you!
