Boo is running Paris 🇫🇷
April 12, 2026 - The Paris Marathon
Running for Glioblastoma Research in memory of my husband — the coolest guy ever.
Typically, at the end of May, Dave would be preparing to tow gliders for the Sugarbush Soaring Club. Instead, in May 2024, we found ourselves traveling to Pittsburgh for a brain biopsy. The results brought devastating news — a non-operable brain tumor, Glioblastoma.
Dave faced six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy with incredible strength and grace. That became his true endurance event. He went on to live 15 courageous months, meeting each day with quiet strength and grace. Glioblastoma stole much of what he loved — his ability to fly, to work with his hands, and to live life on his own terms. It was an incredibly hard journey, but he faced it with the same steady determination that defined him.
For years, Dave was my number one cheerleader through every endurance event I took on. He couldn’t always be there in person, but his support never wavered. Whether it was the cannon blast at the start of a race, climbing a tree to get a better view of the course, or celebrating afterward with champagne, Dave was always my rock — my constant source of encouragement and pride.
Now, it's my turn to take on an endurance event for him.
In April 2026, I’ll be running the Paris Marathon in Dave’s honor to raise funds for the Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO) — a nonprofit dedicated to advancing research, improving treatment options, and supporting families affected by this devastating disease.
Every mile I run will be for Dave — and for the countless others who face Glioblastoma with courage and determination.
Please consider donating to help fund vital research and bring hope to those fighting this battle.
💛 Thank you for your support — for Dave, and for everyone impacted by Glioblastoma.
