About My Fundraiser

In October of 2022, Evan, my brother-in-law, was training to run the Philadelphia Half Marathon when he was suddenly diagnosed with a particularly rare mutation of Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer.
This diagnosis required Evan to change nearly everything about his life as his doctors implemented the first of many treatment plans. Even so, Evan has spent the last 3 years not only being an outlier in every statistic about GBM outcomes, but making his community aware of its existence, impact, and how they can help change it.
His partner, my sister Grace, has been equally devoted to not only supporting Evan in his fight against GBM, but raising awareness and funds for various charities dedicated to it. Together, though, Evan and Grace have proven that even the most destructive diagnoses can coexist with joy, humor, and, most importantly, hope.
My sister Laila and I will be running the Paris Marathon on April 12, 2026 to raise funds for the Glioblastoma Research Organization. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward research and patient care that can improve outcomes for patients like Evan around the world.
We encourage you to follow @glioblastomaresearch on Instagram to continue contributing to their wonderful work beyond a single donation.
This is an incredibly impactful cause worth supporting for years to come.
