In Memory of Dave Flanagan:
26.2 Miles for Glioblastoma
April 12, 2026
Please join me in honoring Dave’s wish to make a difference in the fight against Glioblastoma!
- Sarah Powers

We lost my dad Dave on Oct 21, 2025, just 6 weeks after he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, the most aggressive and fast growing type of brain cancer. Dad knew his time was limited, but it was important to him that his experience be used to help others in some way. He said his biggest wish was for someone else with this disease to be able to live a little longer because of him. So, I promised him that I would do my best to make that happen.
I am honored to have been chosen to represent the Glioblastoma Research Organization at the Paris Marathon on April 12, 2026 in his memory. I ask that you please consider making a donation in his name. Running this marathon will be hard, but it will never be as hard as glioblastoma.
Thank you for your support!
- Sarah
